10k race

Mandy, me, and our friend Yunmi ran in a 10k race today. It was a bit rainy this morning and it really started to pour about a half hour before the race. Luckily we found a vendor with a tent and got to stand under it until the water stopped falling from the sky. That was the end of the rain. I thought we had really good weather. I didn't run as fast as I had expected but that is because my Nike+ sensor hadn't been calibrated and was quite off during my training. So before when I was ran 10k, it was probably closer to 8.5-9. I had my music playlist carefully crafted to get me across the line in 50 minutes. I kept wondering when the end was and knew something was wrong when the music ran out and I got to listen to myself huff and puff the last kilometer or so. My final time was 57:10. My goal was 50, so now I have something to work toward. Altogether and fun and rewarding experience.

A snowy day on campus

I thought the campus looked quite beautiful on this rare snowy Busan day. This is on the way up to the building where my office is. It is the one straight ahead. On the left is the library and on the right (that tower thing sticking up) is engineering.
This is the pond where the ducks live. It is kind of neat seeing them waddling and swimming around everyday. The big building is General Education. I teach most of my classes there.
