I think Wikileaks is only getting started. I think they are carefully planning and timing releases in order to carefully expose the nature of Government one careful step at a time. The goal is to have a certain profound impact on Public Opinions by simply exposing the truths that Governments works so hard to hide away from us all. Corporations as well. Both are highly predictable in their responses to almost anything and everything. One can even create algorithms to simulate those responses for study and planning before engaging. Im sure the Wikileaks people think that way in some manner. WikiLeaks is surely one of the most influential non governmental strategic players on the world stage in centuries. In fact a private intelligence agency has not been this influential or dominant since the rise of the Rothschild dynasty after the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte. WikiLeaks has the power to be a true game changer. I am glad so many of you agree and support their cause. I hope it lasts! Freedom and Democracy require a high degree of transparency that is clearly lacking. Freedom and Democracy require a Champion in the Digital age, and it looks like the people have one in WikiLeaks. Let us just hope and pray for the safety of the Wikileaks staff, sources, and affiliated persons. Let us hope they can continue on their path safely, and let us the vast numbers of people on the Internet reassure Wikileaks that if they should fall, that many others will rise in their place to carry on the good fight in the name of Truth, Justice and Freedom. Whistle blowing in the Information Age is the path of least resistance to move us towards positive change. Let our leaders be on notice, if they are corrupt, it may very well end up on WikiLeaks. You don't fear the law, but seemingly you are afraid of the truth, so that, going forward, is likely the weapon of choice. And, as everyone can now see, Information Bombs are significantly more effective then real ones. Public opinion is now the Battlefield of Western Culture. Enter us all into the Information War. P.S., a Little Love by the USA towards all the World would go a real long way at making things better. You've been using the stick, but have you ever tried the Carrot?

On Wikileaks
This post I read on reddit captures a lot of what I think about the current events. It's a big block of text, and some parts are a bit hyperbolic, but overall it states the issue in a way that shows the importance of transparency to democracy.

Fact: Secrets are hard to keep. Cork out of the bottle. post-it-all 1-to:world. Your school or corporate emails? Is this a Problem ? Just as much the printed book once was. Main question: what’s next: E-Power to the people. Maybe it is good thing, because together we can control what no government can (ie. the global society we need to survive) Technology is a thread, it always was.. it always was unstoppable. However we NEED tech to survive. So..let's discuss it
